i own a cheapy 4-string yamaha bass and i wana to have the BEAD tuning instead of the EADG.im lookin for bass strings that is PUNCHY.thatz all.and i dont know if my neck can withstand the extra tension if theres any.
i use a pick most of the time and i play hard,really hard.i play usually hard rock and hardcore metal,so i need the punch.will steel strings give me the punch?and should i use a heavy gauge or light gauge?
can u suggest some manufacturers that produce strings with the sound that i want?
