About webstrings's bass strings

Im interested in those bass strings... I read a lot of posts regarding these strings..and many of the users gave positive comments about these strings..

I am only concern about one thing. Can these strings fit a 35" scale 5 -string bass? I'll appreciate if anyone can answer these questions..

My only experience with Webstrings bass strings was several years ago. I found the sound to be a bit dull, and it felt like the windings were uneven. Simply, I wasn't impressed. No idea if their products have improved, though.

I bought acoustic guitar strings from them several years ago. Still have a couple sets. Not bad for the money and, when some that they sent me were defective, they were quick to replace them and throw in an additional set of a different model just for the inconvenience.

Anyhow, have you considered contacting them regarding the length question? I know they're pretty good about replying to web inquiries.

I wanted to try these out. Ordered one set of Flats, nickle rounds and SS rounds. Something like $40 for all three, shipped. Should be here any day now. I'll post how long they are.

I've read about these strings in recent threads and posts. Most of the users were quite satisfied with what they paid. I am eager and curious to find out how good are the detroit bass strings. I personally find my D'Addario Nickel Wounds not durable and not long lasting. I need something cheap and more long lasting.

Yes, I sent an email to them. But They did not reply for about 3 days now. Sorry for my English.

Alrite! Thanks for your help. I am interested in the SS rounds. They seem to be more long lasting than nickel rounds.

My Strings arrived.

Medium Nickle and SS Rounds measure 49 inches.

The Heavy Flats (they were out of mediums) measure 47.5 inches.

No production flaws noticed. On first inspection the SS rounds may be a little to sticky/rough for my liking.

My Cow Poke needs new strings anyway so I'll try them all out and will report back.

I just put the Flats on my Fender MIM FSR P-Bass. Lovin' the old school sound.

BTW these should be plenty long enough for a 35" scale bass.

Hmmm.. Is 49" inch is long enough to fit a 35" bass through the body?

Back in the day, I tried the Webstrings SS, and they were okay. But I just don't see them as that much of a bargain when I can get D'Addario XL's for $12.50/set from online dealers. And if you keep an eye out on eBay, they can be had for under $10.
