Acoustic strings on an Electric bass

Needed new strings and the local music store only had acoustic strings. So far the tone is pretty cool. Can anything bad come from this?

If you're saying that you put on the gold colored Phosphor Bronze strings... no, nothing bad will come of this. As long as we don't tell.
