Sign in to disble this ad
Hi Guys,

I have a Tanglewood Electro Acoustic Bass but am having alot of trouble with strings going manky and dull very quickly, i have a set of rotosound phosphur bronze on at the moment and they went bad after about a day so does anybody know a good brand or any tips to keep them as bright as possible.

Cheers

acoustic strings

Phosphor bronze strings loose their brightness quicker than any other string composition . Have you ever tried nylon wrap ? Their sound is brighter than you may imagine and they last much longer . Some people have more acidic sweat than others and must change strings more often .

If you can deal with the high price, I like the Elixer coated acoustic bass strings. I didn't care for the D'Addario EXP coated acoustic bass strings
