I just re-strung my warwick with the spare string I got with my thumb, and boy do they make one hell of a difference. It's a dream to play now, and even in drop B it sounds tight and punchy. I'm gonnah ave to buy a load mroe new strings for my other basses now! |

I like 'em once they get all that zing worn off.
Top end is for guitarists....and cymbals. And flutes.
Me play bass. Ugh.

I love that twangy new string sound! everything just seems to ring out like a dream, especialy harmonics and slap, I love it! i think it's great just whaking up the low bass and high top on the eq and spending the afternoon jumping around my bedroom in a slapping frenzy! (my new string ritual)

Picato strings? They're made in UK and are good strings.
They're not really available here in the US, as they don't have
a distributor. I was able to get some promo sets shipped over
from England, they're actually quite good, maybe worth
trying out some time.
Cheers,

Me play bass. Ugh. | Yeah, I like strings better once the zing wears off as well. I do like the slap sound with new strings however. For some things they're good I guess. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
