Alembic Strings

I've been pondering buying a set of Alembic bass strings, but I'm hesitant to pay nearly seventy dollars for strings. Does anyone use them? What are they like?

I don't have any personal experience with Alembic strings, but from what I've seen, they're not really any more expensive than most strings: http://www.juststrings.com/alembicel...assguitar.html

I went to a bass specialty store and they told me Alembics are made by GHS..not sure if this is accurate just passing it along
