Allen Woody Rumblekat - Strings?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello, I just got an Allen Woody Rumblekat and it has a set of RS88's on it. Don't know why the previous owner put them on as they are too thick for the nut. I'm looking for a set of short scale FLATWOUNDS for this bass that will set nicely in the nut. Most important is that the sound I want is a rich, deep, soft, and smooth sound. Would like to know what flats you would recommend...doesn't matter whether they are chrome, nylon, nickel, stainless or what ever as long as they're flats and produce the sound I'm looking for. Thanx

TI or LaBella. Both will sound thick and rich.

Thanx, but from what I've found the Thomastik JF324 short scale are for 32" bases and the Rumblekat is a 30" scale...will the silk be short enough to fit?

They are what I use on my Allan Woody. They sound like chocolate. MMMmmmmm...
Being .45-.95, they fit the nut well.

Third time in 2 days.
Will TI short-scale fit 30"?
