I was wondering what different tunings other people use other than standard as i was thinking about trying out some new ones like BEGC or EADC or EABE.

I just tuned my Squire bass to a drop D tuning by dropping the E to a D, this way I have a D A D G.

Drop D is fairly standard in my eyes. DADA seems interesting.

If your into the whole Solo Bass thing a "tenor" bass tuning is pretty fun on a 4 string A,D,G,C. Works great for tapping and the like.

I use dropped C standard. C G C F Its what a lot of newer metal bands play in. Along with B F# B E I think is what it is.
