alternative to fodera diamond nickel strings

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi!

Could you please suggest a valide alternative to fodera diamond nickel strings?

here in Italy cost too much and it's difficult to find them!

I usually play light sets (my touch is very delicate) and I'm searcing for "easy" and durable light nickel strings for my 5 string bass (yamaha bb)

thanks a lot!

Find out who makes the strings for Fodera. Chances are, they will be more easily available in Italy.

Fodera is a New York company; my guess is that Fodera strings are La Bella, Cocco, or D'Addario made.

edit: Fodera's sets have a 44-106 gauge available. That sound to me like GHS makes them.

fodera are made by fodera. They have the whole set up in brooklyn.
I don't use nickels, so I can't not help.

I am very surprised that Fodera winds their own strings.

dunlop are good strings. Their nickel series are very good (coming from a stainless guy!).

Gang --

Fodera DOES make their own strings and, as long as you order more than one or two sets (I order 5-10) at a time, you can order directly from Fodera. Following is an email address for a woman named Holly that works with them and is very efficient. She can take your order and get them out pretty quickly.

I have not had any problem with the quality of the strings in the past 9 months. Right around the start of 2009 I had a set with a dead E-string. When I called and spoke to Martha, she immediately sent me a new set.
