I'd definitely be thrown off with a less or more tensioned string, after so many years.
I love the low end on them (we're talking about the Sunbeams again here). They're one of the warmer roundwounds I've ever tried.

I think sooner or later, I'll try the Sunbeams. Too bad (good?) that the twin XL165 packs are so reasonably priced. Maybe that's so that you'll always use XL165's because you'll always have a second set and also you'll have plenty of used strings in your case if you break a string. I have yet to break a string.
