Here's the deal:
I've been using Dunlop strings since they came out. My local guy started carrying them and gave me a free set to try out and let him know my thoughts. I was immediately hooked! The tone, tension, and feel of those strings were amazing to me. I absolutely loved them. Another big plus...they seemed to last FOREVER! I usually go through a set of strings in about a months time. The Dunlops would easily go 2 months with band rehearsal twice a week and playing twice a week. Here's where the crazy part comes in. The last 3 sets of these that I've had (bought from different places as well) are losing their tone really quickly. I just put a set on my Jazz bass and I'm not playing it any more than I was before and after 2 weeks I can already tell that the strings are dying.
Has anyone else experienced this?
