Well, I recently acquired a used bass with flats on it. Now, I know nothing about flats, so maybe you guys could help me out a little? I believe they have brass colored ends, and small green wrap right before those. Somewhat larger gauge, although I'm not sure of specific size. Thanks ahead of time.

Sounds like Fender flats. I use them on 2 of my basses and love them.

I could be wrong, but again sounds like Fenders
