Another TI convert!

ok. so I have been reading and reading and reading up on flats here lately and from all the info I gathered, I figured TI flats were the sound I wanted but were going to be just a little too floppy for my tastes... so I decide to order Labella deep talking flats as they seem to be a little higher tension and have received good reviews. Well, I place my order with JustStrings.com and a day later I get an email saying that the LaBella's are out of stock... this was the "sign" I needed to realize I should have just ordered the TI flats in the first place!

I dont know why I was so afraid (being TI stings were all I played when I took violin lessons for years and loved them). Well, I was so excited that I was actually going to get the TI's now that I spent the extra $19 on next day shipping! Kinda crazy I know but well worth it now that I have them.

All I can say is I cant imagine a better string (let alone flat) to put on my new Suhr jazz bass! The tone and feel are nothing short of amazing! I now know why all the TI flat users on here are such die hards!

Expensive? indeed. well worth it, most certainly!

Another one makes it over to the dark TI side

Good for you and I'm glad you like them. After a week or so of playing they get even warmer and more musical sounding, and then stay like that for a LONG time. For me they actually work out costing less than other less expensive strings. I just wipe them down after playing, if I remember. GHS FastFret works well.

I am looking forward to hearing what they sound like in a few weeks! I dont feel so bad paying the extra shipping knowing I wont have to replace them any time soon. I will probably buy a back up set pretty soon though just to have.
