Any one try SIT's Power Core (all tapered)?

I thinking of ordering some of these but was wondering if some could describe the tonal characteristics of these all tapered strings. Were they hollow, thin, zingy, or just sounded odd?

On some basses I like the E tapered (like Fenders) but not sure about all the strings being tapered.

Any thoughts?

Thumbs up Now that I bought some I'll respond to myself!

I like these strings. Not tinny but do have a little extra zing than other strings (SIT in particular). I love the feel. Smooth...more so than Fender RW and possibly a little more than D'Addario. They sound good on my GL L2K.

Also bought some Taper Wound for my P-Bass. Great feel and adds some good mids compared with Fender 8050s (which a really like as well). The taper wound is not bare are are Fenders, but still helps the E not be so hollow.

These strings do seem to stay in tune better from day to day than anything else I've used.

I know this is an older post, but have you noticed any difference in the durability of the Power Core strings vs normal strings?

I'm sure it wouldn't be any issue for a fingerstyle player like myself, but just wondering if it would be an issue for a pick style player or slap player.

Reason I'm asking is that I had a Silencer B-string go bad and was replaced by S.I.T and Tim Pfouts from S.I.T. sent me a set of Power Core Nickel's to try.
