Any recommendations for an 8-string set?

So my 8-string bass still has the strings that came with it something like a year and a half ago and they're getting gunky and don't sound so good. I looked at the just strings website, and managed to find four different sets...the La Bellas are the most expensive but I don't know if that necessarily translate into "better string". Which one out of these would you recommend?

GHS Electric Bass Boomers 8 String 34" - 35" Scale, .020 - .090, Roundwound , 8LS-DYB

La Bella Electric Bass Hard Rockin' Steel Stainless Roundwound 8 String, .045 - .100, M48

RotoSound Swing Bass 8 String Roundwound Long Scale, .020 - .105, RS668LD

S I T Strings Electric Bass Power Wound Nickel Long 8 String Octave, .018 - .090, NR81890L

The bass is an ESP B-208FM. Thanks in advance!

Ok I pretty much play octave basses only and have tried most strings.
I recently put SIT (actually 2/3rds of a 12 string set) strings on my Rickenbacker 4008 (as it requires light strings) and they sound fine. If you can get them at that price go for it.
The GHS and SIT strings will have a fairly linear life span (start bright and go dull fairly evenly) and the La Bella and Rotos will start with more highs and mid highs. Within a week the highs will go but the mid highs will remain for quite a while.

It also depends how you set your bass up. The Rotos are a fairly high tension for an octave bass and you may need to adjust stuff.

I would get a few sets of the sit strings and then set the bass to suit....

Sounds good, thanks. Longevity, I guess, is the main plus that would factor into my decision. I don't know if I'm so concerned about highs, since an 8-string already comes with highs built in. Still, I'll probably start out with the SIT's and go from there.
