any right-handed bass players strining upside-down?

The first bass I played (borrowed) was a leftie, and since getting my own bass I've played with the lowest string closest to the floor.

Its ended up being useful as I mainly pluck with my thumb (for phatness) and for the Jamerson-y stuff where you need to rake to a lower string, I can do it.

Anybody else out there doing it wrong too?

I haven't gone strining upside-down for years.

I understand people South of the Equator do it all the time though. lol. (Notice the LOL!)

Don't you UK guys also drive on the wrong side of the road? It all makes perfect sense to me now.

I met Jimi Hendrix in Diamond Head one day, and he played a guitar upside down and backwards (string-wise, anyway) and he did somewhat OK for a marginal guitarist anyway.

If that's what you play, and it works, then I say it's possibly a good thing to leave them (and you) as things are.

Your secret is safe with me. I can't talk for all the others though.

BTW: I never do anything wrong.
