| anybody else use lighter gauge with mediumish action?

i use ernie 45-100's and have a medium action set-up i play some fingers and some pick and love my tone. sounds thick to me when i need it to and sounds zippy enough when i need it to. seems pretty dynamic depending on your attack.
ive been reading a bunch about low action, big guages, high tension etc... and it hasnt convinced me to try it. |
