Anyone heard from Skip @ CircleK?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to get in contact with Skip from Circle K strings, and I figured if there's any place I'd find other users of these fine strings, it would be here.

(By the way, I am aware of the customer service email address)

Without going to deep in to back story:
I purchased my first set of Circle K's for my six string a while back, the Balanced .150 6-set, and I received it without a high C string (I figure the 5-set was sent by accident), which Skip sorted out for me promptly when I emailed him about it.

The strings worked great, but I decided I wanted a little more tension, so I ordered a Balanced .158 6-set, as well as an individual .166 string (just in case I wanted to go heavier on the low B).

Once again, when I received the strings, I appeared to be missing the high C again, however on closer inspection, it appears I was sent the Drop-Tune .158 5-set instead. I emailed Skip about this, who informed me that while there has been recent re-gauging of the sets, I had indeed received the wrong set by mistake, and that he'd get me the correct set (Balanced .158 6-set) sent out.

I've sent him a few emails since (to the customer service @ Circle K address), mainly to see if they've been sent out and if he could give me a consignment number to track the package (I live in Australia, by the way), but haven't heard anything back for a few weeks.

As such, I'm wondering if any other TB'ers here have heard from him recently. Has been occupied by other commitments (AFAIK he also works as a luthier, and I figure he'd be a muso too)?
I'm pretty keen to get the strings I ordered, as one of my bands (Evolution Machine), is on the verge of booking sessions at a recording studio to work on an EP, and given we live in a small city (Perth, Western Australia), there's no real alternative for me to use gear wise (using a six-string bass detuned by a whole-step to ADGCFA#), so our EP is effectively on hold until I get the strings.

Thanks in advance for any assistance guys!

I met him at the Seattle GTG earlier this month. Heckuva nice guy, very low key. Sorry (and frankly, surprised) that you're having so many problems. I expect he will do right by you once you get in contact w/ him.

Yes he is TalkBass member 'knuckle_head', hopefully he'll see your post here. Circle K Strings had a problem some months ago with emails not getting through to them, I hope they don't have that problem again.
