Just strung up today. Ordered an 8-string set of D'addario nickels (octaved 8 string set), and strung up my 6 string EADGCF.
I haven't been the biggest fan of the low B (the lowest I ever went was C#), so I decided to take a chance.
After practice tonight, I really love it. The only issue I have is that I used the B primarily when tapping (it was perfect for Fur Elise, in the right key!), but now I'll play it a 4th higher.
I know quite a few high C guys on 5, but what about 6?
