Anyone suggest non-tapered strings?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello,

I've struggled with a click on the first fret of my E and sometimes A string for awhile. I've figured out that the tapered strings I use are allowing the e-string to sit slightly closer to the fret than I want it to.

I like nickel-plated Diadarrio XL's. However I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for string sets with these specs.

#1. Nickel Plated : 135 - 32 : Non - Tapered

#2. Nickel Plated : 120 - 30 : Non - Tapered

Thanks for your time.

You know you can raise the action a little to counter the TW's if you want.

Many manufacturers make nickel roundwound 6 string sets - SIT make a 6er Powerwound set (nickel plated hex-core roundwound) consisting of 30 / 45 / 65 / 80 / 100 / 125 gauges.

ESP & (I think) G&L come with Powerwound's - warm, bright, and low in price.
