Question Anyone using a drop tuning with a low D flat?

Sign in to disble this ad
If so, which string and gauge have you found to give you the best sound?

I'm doing a test this week with 5 new sets of strings including Rotosound SS and Nickel, DR Highbeams, and Dunlop SS and Nickel - all 110's cause 105's don't work for me that low.

Anyone who has knowledge and experience with this tuning please chime in and give me some input.

Thanks!

I use DR Highbeams (45-105) on a 93 Iben"had" SR800 with zero problems in that tuning..........

Look for between a .112 and a .120 - .125 if you can stand high tension.

I might know where you could come by;

.124 .092 .068 .052 .037
.118 .088 .064 .049 .035
or
.112 .084 .064 .046 .035
