Hey friends,
I'm playing about 200 shows a year now and I am sick of paying this much for strings! haha I play D'Addario ProSteel strings because I love the brightness for the steel.
Any hope for me? I have a guy at guitar center that does it for $11 a pack.
Cheers

Maybe try eBay for your strings. |

But I have a feeling that $11 a pack is already really cheap and you might have a hard time beating that unless you can get some sort of endorsement deal...maybe you should send D'Addario an e-mail with this question...200 gigs a year might be endorsement worthy.

I did find that wiping the strings down with a clean rag to take off the sweat can help squeeze another show maybe two out... but really. haha I love the BRIGHT sound of strings. Im going for that grand piano tone ya know? |

You need to put together a promo pack with a picture and a CD, a list of accomplishments, what high profile gigs you've played, what high profile gigs you expect to play, what you can do to promote the string manufacturer onstage and on your albums(unlike bass and amp manufacturers, strings can't be advertised simply by using them), etc.

I only think I could hear a dif because I know which was which. The trick is to soak them overnight. Keep one or two sets in the alcohol and rotate them in every show. I think you should be able to get three or four uses out of them before they start loosing life, especially if you change them afte every show.

You can put them on the spindle of the washing machine, also. Hot water, a little simple green. Love the new string tone and I havent bought strings in months. I buy a few sets at a time and wash them. Better then $20 a set over and over

| | | $11 a pack is really a good deal.
You can get bulk packs of 6 single steel roundwound strings at juststrings and build your own sets. They come out roughly $11.60 per set (4 x 6 packs), but...they're not Prosteels.
You could maybe write the cost of strings off in your taxes though. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
