I've been using Daddario roundwounds for awhile now but don't get me wrong they've been real good to me. I am just thinking of trying something different. Possibly finding a brand I like better. Anyone got any suggestions? With..uh..maybe...some silk wrappings because the roundwounds don't have any

I don't really like silk ends. They look really crappy when frayed if you have to take them off for any reason and put them back on later.

Try DR Strings. They're the bomb.

Frayed silk ends shouldn't be a problem since I rarely take unbroken strings off my bass. but thanks I'll try em' out.

He wants silk ends, so DRs won't do it for him.
I dunno, try Sadowsky strings, Ken Smith strings -- they have silver and orange/purple silk wrappings, respectively.
