B String

I have strung my VM Jazz BEAD with some DR Lowriders, it has been set up by a pro, the B is sloppy, and buzzes, I have read that tapered strings will work better,,, I am looking for suggestions on strings to try out,, I have flats on all my other basses, and I like the sound and feel, but on this bass they don't have to flats, I am mainly looking for a good sound that includes the B......

The gauge of the strings is more important than the brand. Did you use the bottom 4 strings from a 5-string set, or did you just use a 'normal' 4-string set and tune down to BEAD?
