Try contacting D'Addario. They should be able to set you up with a new set. I've had a chromes G string unravel on me when I was stringing up my bass before. Got a new set in the mail from them. I'm not sure if this is their policy or not, but it's worth a try. On the plus side, at least these strings are not expensive like TI's or Pyramids.

Are you sure they're real chromes? There are a lot of counterfeit D'Addario strings out there.

Recently there has been an unprecedented surge in counterfeit D’Addario Strings. So much so that in July we have instituted a unique serial numbering system so every set of D’Addario strings has a unique number that can be searched for on our website http://www.daddario.com/playreal.page.

While we cannot guarantee that every string we produce is perfect the only way we can learn from our mistakes is by asking our customer to return any defective D’Addario string they may have purchased. It also helps us to identify if counterfeit product has been sold to our loyal D’Addario users.
