Bass with 10 strings

Hay my friend has a 10 string bass. He doesn't have any strings for it he says the strings are to expensive. I was wondering if anyone knows were to buy cheap strings for a 10 string. Tanks for any help.

Didn't look to see if they had ten-string sets, & I doubt you'll find a truly cheap set anywhere, but theses guys have a lot of variety.

What type of 10-string? Single course (each string tuned to an individual pitch; BEADGC, etc)? A dual-course 5-string (like a 12-string guitar)?

Dunno bro; I can see a bass like that selling for LOTSO $$$ Tonally Venusian hardwoods are. . . are . . . well, there's no other term than 'out of this world'!!

To OP; we all got that it has 10 strings. How are those 10 tuned?

Sorry guys I don't know anything or have even seen it. The only thing I know is it's 10 strings and you can tune it at the bottom. I hope to see it soon and when I do I'll put some pics up.

He's probably going to have to buy singles.
Even Conklin only sells up to 7 string sets.
