Bass Strings (SR5HS)

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm looking to get a new set of strings on my SR5. I'm obviously a fan of the punchy bright tone, but I was wondering what strings could maybe help tone it down a bit, maybe create a little warmer tone. Or, if anybody has any suggestions as to what strings go well with this bass that I should look into. Right now I have a set of DR's on my bass. Thanks for your help.

Wrong section dude. But I will say I like me some DM Blue Steels on my 4HH Stingray. Those are really snappy though. I the coated Slinkys are great for a mellower sound.

Which kind of DR's? The Low Riders are deeper and fatter sounding than their Hi-Beams.

I'm not sure what kind of DR's I currently have on it. I checked and they just say DR on the packaging. I guess I could try the low riders.
