You can use any cutter capable of handling the gauge of wire. Note that the strings can and will chew up your best cutters. I advise getting one of the combination winder/cutters. They are fairly inexpensive and work quite well.

Planet Waves has one. It's pretty cheap for a combination cutter, peg winder and string stretcher. They have another model with a built-in tuner, as well.

Check on Musicians Friend, Guitar Center, 123Music, etc.

Any heavy duty wire cutters should work fine. Get a set specifically for string changing because as posted above, it will wear on them over time.

I use a pair of cutters I bought for a dollar at the hardware store. Any type of wire side cutters will work. Mine have worked for years.

I wouldn't waste money on "Bass string Cutters".

Like I said, any decent wire cutter will do.

I use something similar to those. Just go to the local hardware store (or Lowes, Home Depot, etc.) and tell them you're looking for diagonal cutters, or wire cutters or "dikes" or whatever.
