I found this an interesting read, I will certainly refer back. Here's a link:

A few things I thought were strange though. In the tone charts, it shows La Bella flats with more treble and less bass than Chromes.

I wonder if they let the flats break in at all. It's hard to know what a set of flats will eventually sound like when they are fresh out of the pack.

Even rounds don't settle in for me until an hour or so of playing.

No problem, although it isn't the be-all-end-all it gives you good idea what strings sound like.
