BEAD on a 4 string??

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey!

I play a 4=string Highway One Fender Jazz bass, and I was wanting to ask a question about strings...

I've always loved playing 5 string basses, so I was wondering is it safe to put BEAD on a 4string bass I didn't know if it would cause any problems so I wanted to make sure.

You may need a new nut that can hold the B string in place. You will actually have less tension on the neck with BEAD than EADG, believe it or not so you might have to adjust the truss rod and reintonate the bridge.
