best flatwounds for 6 string?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm debating on putting flatwounds on my Ibanez SR 406 (if no one buys it that is), and It currently has a huge B (not sure of the size). Any suggestions on what to put on it? I've never used flats before so any suggestions would help.

Thanks

I've been thinking about flats for my 6 myself, but there aren't too many choices out there. The ones I've been looking at are the Rotosound Jazz Bass (77) set: http://www.juststrings.com/rts-rs776ld.html

I have the Roto Jazz Bass set on mine, and I'm really happy, even tone acros the range, high tension, low action, I even have mine down a half step.

Very few options.

I had GHS Precision Flats on an Ibanez SR506 for a while. Nice flats, very "traditional" flats sound and feel.
