I don't think Eb will cause many tension problems. What strings do you currently use?

EB 50-105 but it's all screwed up now due to a luthier replacing the nut for me and then screwing up the slots making it sound wobbly, Now I have to buy a new nut and send it to another luthier who can do the job right.

.50-110 is what I use for Eb and D Standard... But like lots of tension, as I believe I get a little more articulation.

50-105 for Eb should be ok. 50-110 might be a bit better.

I've used 45-100 sets for Eb tuning with no trouble at all. I think it's more string tension of a particular set than the gauge.
