Best out of these three strings

Hey guys,

I've had my 5-string 34" scale fretless restrung tenor for the last couple of weeks and I've decided that I like it better tenor than with a low B, so I'm looking for a new set of strings (I have a mixed set on now, with a guitar string as my C, a flat as my G, and the rest are DR Lo-Riders)

I like the feel and sound of SS Lo-Riders best between those and the Roto Swing Bass 66 series, however I'm trying to decide between these three sets...

D'Addario ProSteels EPS170-6 Regular Light 6-String Bass Strings
DR Strings Lo-Riders 6-String Bass Guitar Strings Medium .125 Low B
Rotosound RS666LD 6-String Roundwound Bass Strings

The EPS170-6 are .130-.105-.085-.070-.050-.030. The Lo-Riders are .125-.105-.085-.065-.045-.030. The RS666LDs are .130-.105-.080-.065-.045-.035.

I don't know how the ProSteels sound or feel compared to SS Lo-Riders, but I'd like something that would give me the brightes t sound (on a J-Bass copy with a rosewood fingerboard) and that would last me the longest, for a decent price. (Really no more than $40 USD.)

If you like the sound of new strings, Rotosounds are
great if you don't mind changing strings every week!

Another option is seeing if a vendor will make you a custom set.

I know that Juststrings.com has been known to do that, so you can get just the 5 you ant, and no waste.. or extra cash.

As for the strings you listed? I use ProSteels on my 5-string fretted, and I love them.. they are clear, bright, and can growl when they get going.

Compare the cost of the six string set to a four string + single high C string. I know with rotosounds, Ken Smiths, and Pedulla strings it's much cheaper to order a four-string set and a .030 or .035 seperately than buying a 6-string set and throwing out a string, and I imagine that's the case with all brands.
