Best Short Scale Flatwounds?

Sign in to disble this ad
I want to get some flatwounds for my short scale Hofner CT bass, but I'm deciding between a few brands.
-Rotosound
-La Bella
-D'Addario
What do you guys think?

depends on the sound you are looking for.

I prefer the rotos. very bright for flats, but high tension.

Chromes are pretty bright for flats too, but more thumpy IMO. Lesser tension than rotos.

I never tried La Bella.

Good Luck!

Any of the three are excellent strings, assuming you mean the Chromes in choice 3. My personal preference is the Labellas, but I've been happy with any of them.
