best string for fender geddy lee jazz bass

Hello,

I have used daddario xl, ernie ball round wound slinkies, stock (fender) strings, dr fat beams (marcus miller).
DR fat beams was very good for the first 2 weeks than it did not sound good.
I can not afford to buy every 2 weeks DR.
What do you suggest me as a longlasting string on fender geddy lee jazz bass?

thanx

I use daddario nickel roundwounds on my fender jazz bass, and those work nicely for around 2-3 weeks, longer if you wash your hands before playing and keep em (the strings) clean. I hear T.I. and elixir roundwounds are good and long lasting, so you might wanna try those out.

Elixer.

I have had the current set on for a few months and it still sounds good, I am only changing them now since one of the tuners on my Jazz got busted in transport.
I could probably leave a set of those on for a few months, a friend of mine has had a set on his ATK for over a year and it still sounds fine.
