Best strings for Geddy Lee Jazz Bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
While I like a kind of rich and warm bottom, not so sure if the geddy lee that I currently have is really the instrument for this, however, I am looking for the optimal strings for what I just mentioned without sacrificing it's smooth playability.

I tried a Used Geddy at GC a while back with DR Black Beauties. I liked the tone I got out of it and I'm not even a fan of the pickups.

I use DR Black Beauties. I use them mainly for the extended life. They look cool on the Geddy, and they sound good!

If you're buying Geddy's ax, use Geddy's strings - Rotosound '66. Awesome sound, not nearly as abrasive or rough as some panzies claim, and cheap to boot - gotta find them at the right place, though.

I use Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky 45-105 - tried flats once, just didn't work for me on the GL.
