Best Strings for a Longhorn?

Title says it all.

My long horn seems quieter and a bit thinner than all my basses. Any way to relieve this with strings?

D'Addario Chromes in Short Scale... My Dano love's 'em...

Yeah, the output on the pickups may be a little thinner (especially on the earlier Evetts re-issues... Mine is a 2000)... With everything dimed, there is less output than any of my P basses, but the tone... Killer!

Do they take kindly to a "low and loose" setup? I like a little bit of clank in my tone.
