Best strings for punk

I have an epiphone EB3 and I need to know what the best strings are for playing punk. Buzzcocks, Social D, the Clash and so on.

FWIW, Rotosound SS Swing bass 66s are super bright, clanky strings, but they die quickly. I'm not sure if I'm helpful at all, but I just thought I'd throw that out there.

Basically, buy yourself a bunch of Stainless Steel roundwounds in whatever gauge you find. JustStrings.com and Musiciansfriend.com have their own lines of strings for really cheap.
