Really? I was thinking about TI flats for a bit but I've never had flats on a Ric. I have flats on all my P-basses, various brands including La Bella, but thought if any flats would work on a Ric they would be TI's. But then I concluded rounds are just better for Rics.

So tell me about how La Bellas sound on yours.

The classic Ric sound no doubt comes with Rotosound 66LD's or some kind of flats, most probably LaBellas. However, I recently experimented with a Ric with Roto 88's on it, and it sounded pretty cool.

I like my rics mellow so TI flats or Dr sunbeams for rounds.

I agree the classic agressive ric sound is no doubt from rotos.

+1 for LaBellas.
I'm more than happy with the 760fl on both my 4003 and 4004.

GHS Boomers. They make my Ric sound perfect to my ear. Not too zingy, with decent low end.

I've got 2 Rics. One with GHS Flatwounds, one with unknown nickel rounds. They both sound great. I like the flats a little better.
