I need some opinions on what you think would be best. However, I dont want anything color coated, elixer, swing bass 66 stainless steel, or flatwounds. Also what kind of metal, stainless steel, nickel, or nickelsteel? Thanks! p.s. The bass is a Jazz Bass.

Whoa whoa whoa. Why don't you want these strings? I've had flats and Rotos on my Squier Jazz V, and both sounded awesome. Don't be so quick to judge, my man! What you play would be helpful advice, and what strings you've had in the past.

Im looking for a Jaco Pastorios sound but also the Geddy Lee growl. I used to Rotosound swing Bass 66 but they colected dirt easily and lost brightness quickly. Do you mean what style I play or what bass? If you meant style, I play just about everything. Also, what is very long lasting?

well i have Fodera Diamond Series ss on my Squier Special 5 and it sounds great. big fat meat with a great growl!!! i got them on a deal here on TB ( 18$ ) and they sound awsome!!
i'll look to DR Fat Beams also!
