| On the Schecter 5 string bass I used to have the strings I tried that might best suit your style are DR Hi-Beams. If you aren't a fan of stainless steel strings then you might like the Sunbeams which are the nickle version of them. If you like more of a broken in mellow tone you might want to go with Ernie Ball. They are very bright at first, but just give them a week or two. Flats are always an option too but I don't have much experience with different flats. |
