Black DR Flatwounds

Friend of mine has got black DR Flats on his Jazz Bass.

Absolute killers, but I can't find them in the catalogues. What strings are these?

These are NOT Black Beauties [rounds]

As far as I know, DR (or anybody else for that matter) does not make black flatwounds.

Well, if you've seen the package, you have the set's name/number for that set. Use that to search DR's site, JustStrings.com, etc.

They are possibly DR Nylon Flats. They KILL on a J bass.

I often put old flats in any package around (though I mark them with some masking tape) when they are between basses. Maybe he had done the same thing.

Perhaps they were GHS Black Nylon Tapewounds? I have them on my fretless.

Wait until you gig with them and start sweating. They become pretty slippery.
