Black flats?

Sign in to disble this ad
I had a set of Labella blacktape strings on my upright that were pretty cool.

Does anybody make a black flat wound for electrics?

Search "tapewound" or "nylon" in the search bar on TalkBass. You'll find that RotoSound, Fender, La Bella, and GHS (as far as I know) make them. There are two different types: rounds wrapped in nylon and nylon strings (which are flatwound.)

Best of luck.

I use Ghs Tapewounds on a Peavey fretless 50-105. This is a roundwound wrapped in nylon. Has a nice acoustic bass sound and are fun to play. .

The only ones i've heard of are Rotosound Trubass 88, but i'm sure there's more

Labellas 760N are also rounds wrapped with flat nylon tape.

I've had good experience with the Fender Nylon 9120's. I like the way they sound, they're cheap, they last a long time(as in I've had some on a J fretless for a few years with little to no change in sound quality), and they're pretty low tension.
