Blue steel G string broke

Sign in to disble this ad
I put on a new set of blue steels and as I was tightening the G string I heard a snap and saw that the string stretched and broke just below the tuning key. I went to guitar center looking for a new single blue steel, but had to settle for a Ernie Ball string. The manager offered me a new pack of blue steels at cost, but didn't want to spend anymore money. He gave me the Ernie ball string. Anyway, does anyone know of an online company that sells single blue steels? I put on the Ernie ball, but was curious.

Thanks!

Try this e-mail address. This dude is cool. Plays a 5 string Toby. Treated me well when I had some string issues.

I only use Blue Steels. I had a pack where the G was missing and the E was already cut too short. Yet it was sealed, new from the web site. They replaced them. I haven't had problems since, and I stayed with them because the customer service was good.

Be careful. The EB will probably break too. Those things stink! Haha. They're the only strings I've ever broken, and they're dead in a month. I'll never bash, but I don't understand peoples love for EB strings.

On a silly note: Did you get a sticker with your Blue Steels? I used to get them in every pack, but it's like a lottery now! Haven't gotten one in a pack in months. Whats the deal?!

Good to hear they have good customer service. I used to get blue steel decals too. I haven't gotten one in a long time.
