I have been a Rotosound user - Swing bass - for many a year and wanted to try their new coated Nexus strings. Put a new set on yesterday and the A string was dead dull lifeless and the other three were fine. Even put it on another bass to confirm it was not a hardware problem. I have never had this issue before. Wierd.
Being a string snob, i tell ya...there´s no need to use Rotosounds when DR´s are available too...i had my share of bad experiences with Roto´s, and i´m not giving them any more of my money....
IMHO of course.

That kind of thing happens sometimes with all strings. I bought a string set for my DB and the G was dead. I sent it back and they (Thomastik) sent me a replacement. I'm sure Rotosound will do the same.

Yes, do contact RotoSound. They have excellent service and response time. I had a dead E last year and they sent a replacement string and another whole set!

Well the second set of strings from the vendor had the same exact dead as a doorknob A string also. . The set from Rotosound were fine. Must have had a bad batch of A strings.
