i would like to hear some reviews on these strings too, i just put a new set of d'addario chrome flats on one of my basses and i am terribly disappointed, this particular set is about as unresponsive as you can get, forget about any grace notes or trills, its almost impossible to get these strings to respond quick enough, or to not sound so muddy that the notes actually come out...i just wonder if all chromes are inclined to be like this, or just these...? anyway, i have fender nickels on my other fretless and they sound good, very good mmmwahh...lol

I'd imagine the DR's to be pretty bright.

You know, I thought DR would have made a brite flats too...boy was I disappointed.

The DR flats are some of the most deadest, thuddiest, unresponsive flats I've ever played! Oh no, there's not much thump...I said thud! TI's sound like roundwounds compared to DR's.

The other set of flats I bought that day were GHS briteflats, and they are much brighter and growlier than the DR's.
I was able to return the one unused DR pack, but I left the opened set on the one P I rarely ever use, mostly because I was tired of wasting money on flats experiments.
