Question Brightest sounding nickel roundwound?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi

I'm into really bright strings, and I am using D'addario Prosteels (stainless steel).

I like the softer feel of nickel roundwounds, but i think they lack the brightness and aggression of the stainless steel strings. I used to have the D'addario XL Nickel Round Wound on my P-bass, but after trying stainless steel strings, I thought they were dull and dead sounding.

So what nickel roundwounds do you think is sounding most like my Prosteels?

Dick Dale likes bright - and he requires his bass player to change strings daily; the bass man, Sam Bolle, uses Dean markley Blues.

SIT Rock Bright Nickels. Bright, nice tension, smooth feel and cheap.
