Fellas,
I broke my B string today. I have no idea who makes the strings....Roundwounds with red silk wrapping at the tuning pegs.
Its a used bass with used strings.....any ideas? Finally get a 5 stringer and I break the damn B string on the first day!

If your strings were that old to have you B break, you need to change the whole set, not just the B.
The only brand I can think of with red silk are Rotosound Swing 66. |

It's not impossible to break a low B. Happened to me before, but I was playing ocean front every day and could smell the salt in the air... |

Ken Smith sells singles and I'm sure many others do as well but I would just go ahead a get a new set.

At a gig a couple of months ago, I broke a bottom E on the first verse of the first song. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
