Budget Strings

Sign in to disble this ad
Simple goal with this thread.

Who out there manufactures decent more pocket friendly strings?

To better define budget, lets say strings which cost less than US$20 for a 4 string pack of standard guage

0.045
0.065
0.085
0.105

or there abouts.

To start, I would have to say:

Warwick Red Labels

There are many packs of strings sold in the US that are very good and cost about $20 a set.

Two of my favorites are DR High Beams, and Dean Markley Blue Steels.

Have to give props to Carvin.

4 string set $9.99
040, .060, .080, .100

I use the 6 string sets ($16) and swap them out every couple of months. I'm pretty sure they're made by LaBella. Not my favorite strings in the world, but I can afford them!

Perhaps I should adjust the price, as I was going on what we pay for a pack of strings on this side.

You can get 4 string Stainless Steel Roundwounds from Ashdown for 8 bucks. At those gages.
