Buying strings from the Fodera website.

I ordered a set of strings from the website for my 6 string bass almost a month ago, I'm still waiting for them.

Their products are excellent, but the service from their website is hopeless.

I've emailed them 3 or 4 times now, I've had one reply, which just said that the strings had been posted. No mention of when, or what service was used. The postage was quite expensive, so I was expecting a quick delivery.

I order quite a lot of stuff from the States, and delivery is usually made within a week.

A reply to an email costs nothing and takes seconds to do.

while i had bad experiences with emailing Fodera, i don't agree with the logic of the above. while it may be true for one e-mail there are often situations where the sheer amount of mail makes answering everything impossible. that is especially true when the responsible person has other things to to (answering the phone, making appointments, etc - being a secretary).

of course, long wait time for the strings is not cool at all.

My advice would be ring them up and talk to one of the helpful ladies there. I order most of my strings this way and they usually arrive in about a week. My experience with e-mailing them is similar but then again I've found that with a lot of companies.

or maybe next time you can purchase them from juststrings.com ... they do have the Fodera's in stock, and they ship fast.
